About the Coupeville Historic Waterfront Association

The Coupeville Historic Waterfront Association is made up of Central Whidbey Island residents dedicated to preserving the historic downtown district. At the start of the 20th century, many Pacific Northwest Towns looked like Coupeville. Progress changed that, but overlooked out special town. We work to preserve what we can and remember what we've lost.

Projects We Make Happen

    • Musselfest

Musselfest is our unique way of celebrating a product that brings the Penn Cove name to restaurants all around the United States.

    • Halloween Torchlight Parade

Capping a month of Halloween events in and around Coupeville, kids and big kids in the torchlight parade go through downtown Coupeville dressed for the occasion. Merchants have sweet treats for the kids.

    • Pumpkin Races

Put wheels on a pumpkin. Let it roll down hill. Sounds simple, but it’s a lot of crazy fun and the “vehicles” get more creative each year! Held downtown.

    • Caroling Contest

Competitive Caroling in Coupeville! Teams of 2 to 10 people from Central Whidbey Island non-profits stroll downtown and compete to see who is most “note-worthy.”

    • Gingerbread House workshop

Kids! Want to build a Gingerbread House? We'll supply the ingredients and give you the know-how! All we ask is one perishable food item per person attending.

    • Photos With Santa

Bring the little ones and come visit and have your photo taken with Santa!
